トップ  >  About AHC "Acta Histochemica et Cytochemica"

Acta Histochemica et Cytochemica (AHC), the official journal of the Japan Society of Histochemistry and Cytochemistry (JSHC), will be published in the following new format beginning January 2006.

1. The official publication of AHC will be the presentation of articles at the electronic journal website on the internet:
2. Electronic publication of AHC will be made six times a year. AHC Advance Publication contains papers that have reached corrected proof stage, but have not yet been included within an issue. This will enable a sharp reduction in the time required for publication. Alerts will be sent to applicants whenever a new AHC article is published.
3. Paper-bound issues of AHC will no longer be published for individual members.
4. One paper-bound issue of AHC that combines all the articles presented on the web will be published for corporate members such as libraries at the end of the year.
This reformation of the publication system of AHC is based on the decision made at the council meeting and the general assembly held at the annual meeting of JSHC in October 2005. It aims at increasing the activity and the visibility of AHC by accelerating publication of high-quality papers. The electronic publication of AHC has been and will be supported by J-STAGE of the Japan Science and Technology Agency. Papers will be accessible at the above website in the form of PDF as they are now. We heartily hope that the readers of AHC will embrace this renovation and will continue to give their support to make it a journal of even higher quality. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to write to ahc @ nacos.com. We look forward to your continued contributions to AHC.
